Jacoby Jones, the former NFL receiver and kick returner who helped the Baltimore Ravens win Super Bowl XLVII with the longest play in the game's history, has died at the age of 40, according to a statement released by his family on Sunday.

Jones, who played for the Ravens from 2012 to 2014, had a memorable performance in Super Bowl XLVII, scoring two touchdowns, including a 56-yard touchdown pass from Super Bowl MVP quarterback Joe Flacco that put the Ravens up 21-3.

Jones' 108-yard kickoff return in 2013 remains the longest touchdown in Super Bowl history.
